The proceeds of the event raised over $500,000 which will be used in support of childhood cancer research.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation was founded in 2005 and has been the leading foundation for pediatric cancer research. It started with Alexandra "Alex" Scott, a young girl who wanted to make a difference for children facing the same hardships she did, cancer. Alex held her first lemonade stand in the year 2000 and raised nearly $2000.

Today the foundation in her name has raised over a $140 million.

The gala event was held at Urban Outfitters, headquartered in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This year was the 12th annual Great Chefs Event which showcased dozens of "celebrity chefs" and "mixologists" from across the country, and from as far away as Australia.

It was notable the Philadelphia 76ers basketball team was also a sponsor of the event, at the same level as RDM. Mike Bannan, the Managing Partner for RDM, remarked, "Wow we donated at the same sponsorship level (Deuces) as the 76ers?; Does that mean we gave too much or did they maybe give too little?"

Along with the delicious food and craft drinks, there was a silent and live auction throughout the evening. The winning bidders for the most coveted auction items claimed their prizes after parting with $20,000, $15,000, and $10,000 each. Approximately 12 other items were auctioned, none going for less than $2,000 each.

Results Driven Marketing, LLC was very proud to have sponsored, donated, and supported such a great cause. In addition to the sponsorship, Ms. High made a substantial personal donation during the live auction.

RDM's staff along with 1,000 or so attendees enjoyed the unique cuisine presented by the Great Chefs. As great as it all was, the food and drinks paled in comparison to the incredible stories shared by some of ALSF Hero's, survivors of a horrible disease.

A 16-year-old survivor named Elijah shared his dream to play guitar in front of a large audience. Elijah was joined by Philanthropist and local business leader Marc Vetri where they performed a guitar jam session, fulfilling Elijah's dream!

Another young survivor, Ellie who is 8 years old, read and shared her story via a speech that she wrote herself. Ellie brought the crowd to tears by telling her emotional roller coaster of a journey she has been riding on. Both brave young people are cancer free today, something that Alex Scott never lived to see.

HOLLYWOOD, CA, USA, June 30, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — Viktoria Ross is on her way to make a mark in the pop and electronic dance music world with the debut of her first American single, "Money," produced and co-written by Music Producer and Entertainment Consultant Raffles Van Exel. The Eastern European beauty is taking on the EDM movement with her vocals backed by high energy house music. "My style is pop with a mix of folk music and EDM," said Ross who loves to perform live.

It's no secret that music is a big part of the Ukrainian culture, from folk music to modern rock. Ross will add EDM to the traditional Ukrainian culture with her mash up of world music and hip hop. As an only child, Ross found her "brothers and sisters" in a music family when she attended a local music school. "When I was 14 years old, I enrolled in the Leonid Utesov Music Academy in Kiev," she said. "I was obsessed with the piano."

While a music student, Ross met a well-known Ukrainian singer and producer who cast her as the lead singer of the band. "We topped the Ukrainian music charts," she said.

Ross comes from humble beginnings but her sound is unique and on a high level. "I was born and raised in a small village," said Ross. "My mom is a farmer and my dad is a truck driver." After graduating from music school, Ross knew her next step was to travel to the US to pursue her dreams of being an international music artist. "My family influences my music," said said. "They inspire and encourage me to create something big and amazing."

Hello Sunshine Opens in Bend Oregon's Old Mill District

Owners of downtown Bend's Clementine Urban Mercantile open new shop in the Old Mill

BEND, OR, USA, June 30, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — Hello Sunshine, a new women's boutique just opened in the Old Mill District in Bend. According to owners Larie Borden and Gwen Whitten the new shop was opened due to the overwhelming enthusiasm from both locals and tourists surrounding their flagship store, the Clementine Urban Mercantile in downtown Bend.

“Our downtown Bend store is full of wonderful, eclectic handpicked items and we simply don’t have room to showcase all of the unique products that we are finding in one store so we decided to open another shop. We’re excited to expand our presence in Bend in a great location like the Old Mill District and offer even more great products to our local patrons and visitors to the area,” says Gwen.

Hello Sunshine features giftware, home décor, women’s accessories, local artisan jewelry, handbags, greeting cards, trendy clothing and more.

“Because we are small, we are able to select items from local vendors that are unique to Central Oregon and the Pacific Northwest and blend those artist's wares in with national vendors who we feel complement our local offerings.” says Larie.

Coming up with a name was simple for the two. “Clementine Urban Mercantile is such a bright sunny place filled with pleasant music, great scents, happy colors and feel good merchandise. The name Hello Sunshine seemed like the perfect name to give our second shop. Plus, with Bend being well-known for so much sunshine, it was the logical choice.”

Hello Sunshine will feature local artisans such as l’ Ecole Soap, E.M.L Sparklies, Jenn Newton Jewelry, Neesha clothing, Ellington Handbags, Blue Planet readers, Eli Halpin Art and more. The shop is located at 520 SW Powerhouse Dr #602 between J. Jill and Francesca’s.
