READING, PA, UNITED STATES, October 15, 2018 / — READING, Pa. – A 1958 Fender Stratocaster guitar in superb condition with corroborating serial number and dates on the body, U.S. and foreign coins and original artwork by names such as Andrew Wyeth, Moses Soyer and Alice Barber Stephens are just a few of the highlights that viewers can bid on when they tune in to Episode 1, Season 3 of Berks Community Television’s hit show Auction Action on BCTV, on Friday, November 2nd, at 6 pm Eastern time.

Auction Action on BCTV is a unique show that brings live auctions right into the living rooms of viewers. As before, the show will be hosted by Bill Howze, owner of The Renaissance Auction Group and host of BCTV’s All That Stuff show. At the beginning of the show, Mr. Howze will remind viewers how the auction format works and preview featured lots. All bidding is online.

The Stratocaster is the undisputed headliner of the show’s lineup. “The guitar has only had three owners,” Mr. Howze, said. “My client purchased the guitar in the late 1980s from a gentleman who obtained it in the early Sixties. Neither of them knew how to play the guitar, so the Stratocaster has been in its case for approximately 55 years. It’s time to free the Fender!”

Except for a small blemish on the reverse side of the body, the guitar is in pristine condition. Howze personally oversaw an extensive authentication effort, one that revealed the two correct date markings – “9/58” for the assembly of the body and “10/58” for the installation of the electronics. “This is a perfect example of the type of item one should place in an auction,” Mr. Howze said. “It’s an iconic guitar in high demand and in exceptional condition. Ultimately, the marketplace will determine its value.”

Coins will include 80 Peace Dollars, featuring high-grade examples (and including a complete set of 24), to be sold in multiple lots; more than 50 Morgan Dollars, including high-grades; an ancient Judea Capta coin; a 1787 New Jersey Nova Caesarea copper coin; 25 silver proof sets; 25 American Silver Eagle commemorative coins; and over 1,300 U.S. silver half-dollars, quarters and dimes.

Artwork will feature an Andrew Wyeth pencil study; a Moses Soyer pencil nude; an original illustration by Alice Barber Stephens; an oil on canvas by William S. Robinson; two oil on canvas paintings by Edwin H. Boddington; two portraits by Marcus Mote; two lithographs by Stow Wengenroth; an oil on canvas by Harold Kraus; and a 1950s original Walt Disney celluloid frame of The Big Bad Wolf.

Also up for bid will be a silver repousse charger; a Stiegel-type bottle; a Stoddard type Demijohn bottle; a Durand art glass vase; a desk-top bronze of Napoleon by Emile Pinedo; and a Carvin Bunny Brunel BB 75Pelectric bass guitar. Currently being authenticated is a portrait of a young boy signed “Eakins” (as in Thomas Eakins). It will be included in the next episode of Auction Action on BCTV.

Individuals will be able to bid from anywhere in the world on their desktop or mobile devices. Berks County residents who have BCTV as part of their cable package will be able to view the show live and bid in real time. Already it’s attracted a following. “The show has grown its audience footprint in just a few episodes, with bidders logging in across the state and country,” said Heather Adams, Executive Director of “Mr. Howze has set a fine precedent for curating unique and interesting items and we look forward to this next installation and the interesting stories of a new catalog.”

Mr. Howze said he and his auctioneer colleagues Phil Wesel and Brett Olson enjoy the challenge of bringing an unscripted live event to the television stage. “Auctions are like sporting events,” he said. “You never know what’s going to happen until you play the game. Sometimes it’s a romp, sometimes it’s a stomp. Sometimes it’s nip and tuck all the way. But it’s never boring.”

All lots have a starting bid of $5 and will sell to the highest bidder, regardless of price. Brighter Smiles as Medicare On Video Helps Patients Find The Best Dental Plans

Healthy teeth make life worth living. From eating on that salad to enjoying your favorite hot or cold drinks, unhealthy teeth keep spoiling the fun.

My daughter helped me find Keith online. I am not one that will usually leave a review but my experience with Keith has been a great one. He has helped me through the worries, answered my questions.”

— Joanne

TREASURE ISLAND, FL, UNITED STATES, October 15, 2018 / — At Medicare on Video, they are all about good oral hygiene. Your best dentist says flossing and brushing twice daily is worth it and doesn’t take up as much time as it may seem. Making this habitual has been a challenge for some due to the irregularity of meals among other lifestyle choices. Even with these religious cleaning rituals on a daily basis, it’s still necessary to make a professional cleaning appointment with your dental office every six months. With Medicare not covering all dental costs, more users are choosing to go with supplementary cover to enjoy best dental plans. Here is why; preventative dental care with regular checks at the dental office is the way to go.

The shift to preventative dental care helps everyone.

The best dental care providers have since the twenty-first century shifted to preventative care as opposed to restorative dentistry. More clients now walk into a dental office with a confident smile for checkups and early detection. It is the best thing that could happen to a dental practice and certainly a more pleasant experience for the patients too. Surely no one wants to have the dentist take the drill to their mouth. Tooth removals are not a dentist’s favorite procedure either.

Preventative dental care with the good dental insurance saves money!

With a good dental insurance policy to support patients, preventative care is cheaper than expensive dental restorative pieces. Patients and their families can now afford a smile on their way out. It’s no wonder the oral health improvement has been so rampant in the recent times. Just the same, a good number of adults continue to go through teeth degradation without knowledge of the benefits of preventative medicine.

With more healthcare insurance providers now providing for two cleanings per year, its time patients learned to utilize these opportunities to maintain a superb smile. In addition to these, market leaders like Medicare on Video have begun to offer free subscription medicine card services. This plan will cover for those with little to no insurance cover on medication helping them save big.

Good dental care takes commitment. Get trusted Medicare advisors.

Brushing and flossing might be part of our daily routines but for many people, that is all they are; routines. The importance of it does not really occur until a cavity hits. Anyone who has ever spent a night in agony terrorized by an aching tooth never forgets the ordeal. But other than the threat of cavities, what other pull factors are there towards maintaining good oral hygiene? For some, these don’t exist and they can hardly stick to the daily schedule. Making a new year’s resolution to visit the dental office more regularly and actually making it there are two mutually exclusive events. Good dental hygiene and care should be promoted for the love of a good life and not fear of tooth loss. Diligence in cleaning and checkups will unlock a brighter future with good overall health and a beautiful smile to show off to the world.

A Good dental insurance plan: Investment for a Happier Life.

Come summer or winter, the first greeting we give to the world is mostly a warm smile. Especially when we want things to go our way, a smile can prove to be an invaluable asset when meeting people for business and pleasure. First impressions last, a proper smile could mean the difference between closing the deal of a lifetime and returning home frustrated. Smiles sell confidence and buy goodwill from the world around us. As a business person, it makes sense to invest in a good one. And what better way to achieve a perfect smile than with a subscription to the best dental plans?
Do I need dental cleaning for healthy teeth?

Medicare on Video recommends that patients all over book an appointment to have their teeth cleaned at least once every six months. Professional teeth cleaning unlike daily cleaning routines are able to reach all parts of the mouth and tooth to remove tough plaque. It presents a great opportunity for the dentist to patient’s mouth, face and neck for early diagnosis of diseases including cancers. It is not uncommon for degradation of oral health to go hand in hand with other serious health issues.

When is the best time to schedule a dentist appointment?

Most people will not feel the need to see a dentist until they are sure something is wrong with their teeth. This is the wrong approach. The best time to schedule an appointment with your family dentist is right now if you haven’t done so already. Regardless of your current state of oral health, you need to see the dentist more often. If it’s any motivation, it could actually save money visiting sooner. Keeping cavities at bay is what every dentist wishes to do all day every day.

The bottom-line: Healthy teeth make life worth living. From eating on that salad to enjoying your favorite hot or cold drinks, unhealthy teeth keep spoiling the fun. When one has painful teeth, it’s critical that they see the best teeth doctor around about it. Even when pain magically, disappears, it always finds its way back. Even so, it’s good to be cautious about the people who you trust with your smile. Trust no other than qualified and certified dentists with an impeccable performance record with previous patients.

Medicare on Video will show you everything to make the process simple as 1,2,3. Get your dental insurance quote by filling out the form below. Watch the video to learn what your dental insurance options are.

Judge: Lawsuits will proceed against retailers accused of selling illicit Viagra pills

Sildenafil is hidden inside Rhino pills

A Chevron gas station owner fails in bid to have lawsuits tossed out

The judge’s decision should make it crystal clear that retailers selling this potentially deadly drug face civil liability for putting people’s lives in danger.”

— Attorney Robert Tauler

SANTA MONICA, CALIF., USA, October 13, 2018 / — A superior court judge has allowed a lawsuit against a group of Santa Monica convenience stores allegedly selling supplements laced with prescription and unapproved drugs to proceed by denying a Chevron gas station’s defense motion to dismiss the case.

The ruling by Santa Monica Superior Court Judge Gerald Rosenberg on Oct. 20 means the owners have 20 days to respond to lawsuits accusing them of engaging in unfair competition and false advertising by selling falsely-labeled “all natural” and “safe” male enhancement pills. The Rhino-brand ingredient labels do not list their inclusion of sildenafil – the active ingredient in Viagra.

The local lawsuits only address the stores’ civil violations, though the sale of prescription drugs by anyone other than a licensed pharmacist is prohibited under state and federal regulatory laws.

“The judge’s decision should make it crystal clear that retailers selling this potentially deadly drug face civil liability for putting people’s lives in danger,” said Robert Tauler, a principal at Tauler Smith LLP, in Los Angeles and a nationally-recognized expert in adulterated health supplements and false advertising law.

Using Viagra without a doctor’s supervision can result in serious penile injuries (blood clots and amputation, for instance,) heart attacks, stroke and vision problems. Men have died after taking Viagra-laced “all natural” erectile dysfunction pills like those identified in the suit.

Tauler represents Houston-based Outlaw Laboratory LP, which makes competing natural products that meet strict FDA dietary supplement regulations. Federal law allows competitors to sue retailers for false advertising if products contain secret ingredients. The products named in the lawsuit do not disclose the presence of hidden drugs such as sildenafil, tadalafil and dapoxetine on their labels.

C. Kerry Fields, University of Southern California business ethics and product liability expert, told the Santa Monica Mirror in June that businesses selling products containing secret ingredients put themselves in serious legal peril. “There may be a good margin selling those products but it’s not worth the risk because they are representing to the public that their goods are safe… Consumers might sue them as well…,” Fields told the Mirror.

About Tauler Smith LLP
Tauler Smith LLP specializes in high-stakes commercial litigation representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of areas, including business disputes, false advertising, the foreign corrupt practices act, and unfair competition.

Robots, Space Toys, Early Disney, Other 19th/20th-Century Favorites Ready to Impress at Milestone's Oct. 13 Toy Auction

Spotless Walking Batman With Crisp, Original Japanese Box Expected to Sell for $10K-$15K

WILLOUGHBY, OHIO, UNITED STATES, October 12, 2018 / — The color, action and irresistible charm of antique and vintage toys will be on full display during Milestone’s October 13 auction in suburban Cleveland. More than 700 lots ranging from coveted early 20th-century German clockwork characters to mid-century superheroes and flashy ’50s vehicles await collectors, who may bid in person, absentee, by phone or live online.

“The level of condition from start to finish is just incredible,” said Milestone co-owner Chris Sammet. “We set the bar very high with all of our Premier sales, but I can say without any hesitation that this is the most outstanding selection of clean, original toys we have ever offered.”

Many dozens of robots, space toys and superheroes will be ready to take the spotlight, and all eyes are sure to be on Lot 96, a TN battery-operated Walking Batman in impeccable condition. “This toy is a dream for collectors since it’s new old store stock and has never been played with,” Sammet said. “It’s all original and complete, and there isn’t a better example out there. The rich colors and high gloss have to be seen to be believed.” The 12-inch toy is accompanied by its spotless original Japanese-version box depicting “Adam West” as Batman and Robin in the Batmobile. Estimate: $10,000-$15,000.

Another extraterrestrial prize is Lot 98, a boxed Mechanical Moon Robot (Robby the Robot lookalike). A wind-up as opposed to battery-operated toy, it is complete and appears never to have been played with. Its pre-sale estimate is $2,500-$3,000.

A Marx tin wind-up Sparkling Rocket Fighter Ship – dazzling in its bright red and yellow motif – is a classic example of how manned spaceships were envisioned long before Star Wars or even the Space Race. The 12-inch-long tinplate craft entered as Lot 107B is all original, including the often-missing tailfin, and comes with its visually spectacular pictorial box. Estimate: $600-$800. Lot 115F is an incredibly rare factory case containing 12 TootsieToy #1031 Buck Rogers 25th Century Battle Cruisers, each pristine and in its original pictorial box. Like the aforementioned Walking Batman, it is new old store stock. Auction estimate: $2,000-$3,000

An American antique toy of true museum quality, Lot 245E is a circa-1875 Ives Mechanical Performing Monkey with handbells. “Not only is it in unbelievably fine collection, with bright, unfaded clothing and perfect facial paint, it also has its original wooden box with applied pictorial label,” Sammet said. The Ives label indicates that the toy received a patent, presumably for its unusual action. The pre-sale estimate has been set at $3,000-$4,000.

There’s an impressive array of 1930s through postwar-era toys to delight Disney collectors. The grouping includes many examples of Mickey Mouse and other character toys that seldom appear at auction in such sparkling condition. Among the highly regarded Linemar productions are a tin wind-up Mickey on Unicycle, $400-$600; Mickey Cyclist, $300-$500; and boxed Mickey Mouse Dipsy Car, $400-$600. A 1940s Mickey Mouse watch, mint in its original cylindrical box, will cross the auction block with a $300-$500 estimate. Many of Mickey’s Disney stablemates will be on hand, as well. Lot 130, a rare and near-mint Marx boxed set, houses Pinocchio and Figaro the Cat tin wind-ups, both in top-notch condition. The set delivers two Disney favorites for the price of one and is estimated at $1,000-$1,500.

That muscle-bound, spinach-loving cartoon sailor Popeye will be showing off many skills, such as boxing, tumbling, blowing bubbles, jig dancing, and driving a patrol motorcycle. He’s also a high-flying pilot, as seen in Lot 201, a 1935 tin wind-up Popeye Express. All original and as fresh as the day it rolled off the Marx assembly line, this toy depicts daredevil pilot Popeye circling above a train with an annoyed Olive Oyl as its passenger and Wimpy as a spectator. Along with its profusely illustrated original box, it comes to auction with a $1,000-$1,500 estimate.

A fleet of pressed steel automotive toys includes many leading brands, including Buddy ‘L,’ Bing, Marx, Cor-Cor, Wyandotte, Dayton and Sturditoy. In the 1920s, the latter company produced a handsome 33½-inch oil tanker in fire-engine red. An example of the two-piece truck and trailer, entered as Lot 390B, retains its original decals and nice tandem tires. Its auction estimate is $2,000-$2,500.

Paddles are expected to be airborne when Lot 458A, a rare Hubley cast-iron Harley-Davidson Parcel Post motorcycle opens for bidding. With very clean original paint and Harley decal on the gas tank, this much-admired bike comes with its correct blue-uniformed driver. Estimate: $2,000-$2,500

Milestone’s Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018 Premier Vintage Toy Auction will begin at 10 a.m. Eastern Time, with all forms of bidding available, including live online through Milestone’s own bidding platform or LiveAuctioneers. Address: 3860 Ben Hur Ave., Unit 8, Willoughby, OH 44094. For additional information or condition reports, call 440-527-8060 or email Online:

No reserve has been placed on any of the lots. “We are absolutely confident that the artworks and antiques chosen for this sale, which are of utmost quality and impeccable provenance, will attract the market prices they deserve,” said Rivertown spokesperson Rafael Leite. “We’re very proud of the selection represented in this sale, which took our expert appraiser many months to authenticate and catalog.”

A star lot among the many bronzes in the sale is a 13th/14th-century silver-inlaid figure of Avalokiteshvara. This remarkable treasure was acquired in China in the 1920s by Samuel E. Wilson (1891-1965), who, at the time was working there as a journalist. Reflecting superlative artistry, it stands 15½ inches high and shows no signs of repair or restoration. The pre-sale estimate is $2,000-$2,500.

Another top prize from the Wilson collection is a Western Zhou Dynasty bronze yu, or ritual vessel, with an intriguing design that blends perfect symmetry with time-honored craftsmanship. There are no repairs, and its unrestored beauty is enhanced by natural verdigris. Estimate: $6,000-$8,000. A second ritual food vessel from the Wilson collection is known as a “ding.” This ancient bronze dates to the Shang Dynasty (circa 1600-1046 BC) and is expected to make $4,000-$5,000 at auction.

Standing 19 inches tall, a Tang Dynasty gilt bronze figure of Guanyin was previously held in the collection of Robert Edwards (1883-1979) and his wife Gloria (1886-1960). Mr. Edwards arrived in Shanghai in 1910 to work for Jardine, Matheson & Co. The couple, who married in 1917, collected Chinese antiques until they return to Britain in 1938/’39. The Guanyin figure passed by descent through the Edwards family and will be offered at auction with a $10,000-$12,000 estimate. Also carrying provenance from the Edwards collection is a 9¾-inch Song Dynasty Qingbai Boys Meiping vase with stand, estimated at $4,000-$5,000.

An exceptional example of Ming Dynasty ceramic artistry, a 7¼-inch enameled dragon jar is richly decorated in iron red on a yellow ground and bears the Jiajing Mark and Period. The vessel was previously held in the Beverly Hills, California collection of a connoisseur who regularly purchased Asian antiques from London and New York dealers during the 1970s and ’80s. A stunning example, is estimated at $6,000-$8,000.

Yet another flawless ceramic, a 9¼-inch Qing Dynasty yellow glazed vase with Kangxi Mark and Period, has provenance from the collection of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Johnson. A career diplomat, Mr. Johnson (1881-1950) spent 20 years in China during the early 20th century. It was there that he and his wife acquired highly important pieces of a type so seldom available to collectors today. The vase is estimated at $6,000-$8,000.

An elite selection of paintings is led by a Fu Bao Shi (Chinese, 1904-1965) ink-and-color work on paper. It is mounted and measures 12 x 8¾ inches (sight). Its owner acquired the work in New York in September 1982, and it comes to auction with a $10,000-$12,000 estimate. A second art highlight is a Zhao Shao Ang (Chinese, 1905-1998) album containing 10 paintings, each sized 14¾ x 11¾ inches. In fine condition, the album was purchased by the consignor’s father in the 1980s, directly from the artist’s family in Hong Kong. Estimate: $4,000-$5,000
